Want to access your Raspberry Pi from your laptop or computer without needing to hook it up to a screen, find an extra keyboard and mouse, or configure networking? Or program your ESP32?
This is the cable you need!
With one cable you can directly connect to the serial console of your raspberry pi or any other microcontroller or single board computer that exposes a UART port. These are especially useful with boards where usb ports are limited or there is no built in usb controller.
- Provides serial console access
- Plugs directly into the GPIO header using dupont connectors
- Avoid having to setup a full screen, keyboard, mouse, and networking to use your Raspberry Pi
- great for programming ESP32 boards
- Use a terminal emulator to access your Pi or other SBC!
Drivers for Windows 7/8.1/10 and Mac are available. Install them and then just plug in the cable and fire up a terminal emulator program. We recommend PuTTY for Windows it's free and easy to use. On Mac the built in terminal application works great!
Setup your terminal emulator to point at the correct port usually something like COM6 and set the baud rate to 115200 for Raspberry Pi, consult the documentation for other boards to determine the correct baud rate.
